Dr. Babak Arvanaghi is the founding member of the Pain Management Institute. A graduate of the University of Maryland Medical School and having completed residency training at George Washington University and his fellowship training in Pain Management at Harvard University’s Brigham and Women’s Hospital. He launched the practice after having worked first as an attending physician at Johns Hopkins University Hospital and later as the Chief of Pain at Suburban Hospital. He set up the practice with the design to provide the highest quality pain management care with easy patient access and a caring, patient focused environment.

Year after year in both the Washingtonian Top Doctors and Consumer Checkbook ratings of pain physicians, Dr. Arvanaghi has been the top vote getter.
