Acupuncture

Targeted acupuncture therapy to restore balance, reduce pain, and support healing.

Acupuncture is a time-tested therapy that stimulates specific points in the body to reduce pain, improve circulation, and restore balance within the nervous system. At our practice, our program is led by Yuliya Shifrin, LAc, a licensed acupuncturist who integrates traditional techniques with a modern, pain-focused approach. Treatment options include acupuncture, cupping therapy, and acupuncture with electrical stimulation to enhance results—particularly for chronic pain, muscle tension, and nerve-related conditions. Each session is tailored to the individual, with the goal of improving function, accelerating recovery, and providing lasting relief.

Acupuncture Procedure

Close Collaboration

Unlike traditional acupuncture clinics where medical management is not included, our licensed acupuncturist works side-by-side with our PMI physicians, physician assistants, and physical therapist. They share updates and adjust care plans in real time, ensuring that every therapy session aligns perfectly with your treatment goals.

Personalized Care

Each patient receives a full hour of dedicated, one-on-one treatment. Education in the methodology behind acupuncture, pain science, and lifestyle modifications empowers patients to take an active role in their recovery.

What to expect at your first acupuncture session

Your first acupuncture visit is designed to be both informative and comfortable. Yuliya Shifrin, LAc will begin with a detailed consultation, asking about your pain, sleep patterns, and lifestyle and nutritional habits to better understand the root of your symptoms. The second half of the session focuses on treatment, where she will gently begin needle placement. For patients new to acupuncture, she typically starts with a smaller number of needles to ensure you feel at ease and tolerate the treatment well. The goal of this first visit is to create a personalized plan while introducing you to acupuncture in a calm, supportive way.
